"Good-bye"' is not in our vocabulary. Our relationships with our youth continue long after they leave our programs. We serve as a touchstone, an extended family throughout their lives. Moreover, youth who have graduated from our programs serve as role models for youth still active in TLP.

We know how important it is to be included in a community. TLP staff members grow close to our youth and want to ensure their continued success, even after they leave. Through Shoulder-to-Shoulder, we provide ongoing support, regardless of the reasons youth leave TLP. To keep them connected, we go out for coffee, visit youth in their new homes, and invite them to TLP activities, such as graduation ceremonies and holiday parties. Some youth who transition from Belfort House to Shoulder-to-Shoulder may become eligible for the CaSSA program.

Seeing success first-hand is a powerful motivator. It's especially important and inspiring for youth who are still in our programs to see and hear from those who were in the same place, now living and thriving on their own.
