Your donation can help TLP in the following ways:
- $50 pays for 10 days of transportation to and from school or
work. Sometimes the biggest obstacle to finishing school or landing a
job is just physically getting there.
- Many youth who are homeless learn destructive ways to deal with
boredom or to protect themselves from trauma theyve suffered. Your gift
of $75 provides six young people with a healthy and rejuvenating
recreational experience: a trip to the movies, museum, zoo, or concert.
- $100 fills a Welcome Basket of necessities for new residents.
Each item (toiletries, linens, etc.) is brand-new and makes youth feel
special the moment they arrive at TLP.
- Help provide sweet dreams. Your gift of $250 purchases a new bed
and mattress set for one youth at Belfort
House.
- $500 helps youth meet their educational and vocational goals,
enabling us to purchase a new computer for TLPs Learning Lab.
- TLP's Integrated Skills for Independent Living program (I-SkIL)
teaches youth how to be self-sufficient. Your gift of $1,000 sends one
youth through the entire 7-month I-SkIL program, providing them with
the critical tools they need to live independently.
- A $2,500 gift puts nutritious food on the table, paying for
nearly a full month of three square meals for all Belfort House
residents.
- Gifts at the $5,000 level provide safe haven at Belfort House and
the full array of TLP services and resources for one youth for two
months.
- $20,000 provides medical care for a full year for six youth. TLPs
Whole Health program provides primary health care and nutritional
education to the residents of Belfort House and youth who have moved
into TLPs Clustered
and Scattered Site Housing (CaSSA). Whole Health program staff
include a full-time culinary nutritionist and a full-time nurse
practitioner, The latter operates a clinic at Belfort House and
provides youth with physicals and health assessments, plus weekly
healthy living classes.
- Matching Gifts. Gifts matched by an employer can double or even
triple your contribution to Teen Living Programs.
- Planned or Deferred Gifts. Your gift of stocks, bonds, real
estate, life insurance, or a bequest helps secure the future of Teen
Living Programs.
