Teen Living Programs’ achievements —our success in helping teens who are homeless transition to rewarding and independent lives— are possible thanks to a roster of fund and friend-raising activities.

Dream a Bigger Dream Gala is Teen Living Programs’ annual black-tie event, and the organization’s largest fundraiser. Our 2012 event will be held at the Marriott Downtown Chicago Magnificent Mile on Saturday, March 10th, 2012. This is an evening of fun and philanthropy you will not want to miss! Individual tickets are $250 and sponsorships start at $3,500. For more information and to purchase your tickets to the event, please visit TLP’s official Gala website.

TLP’s Ribbon Cutting celebrated the completion of Belfort House, our new residential facility in Bronzeville. Over 100 supporters of Teen Living Programs joined us on September 20, 2010 to formally cut ribbon on the building and to enjoy tours and a reception in our new home.

The Give ‘em Shelter Benefit was a new event hosted by Chicago’s Real Estate, Design, Furniture and Contract Industries on April 13, 2010 at District Bar in River North. Check back for more info about the 2011 event coming up this spring!

TLP on Tap is the Auxiliary Board’s annual fundraising event held at a local bar. The 2012 event will be held in early June at Lizzie McNeill’s Irish Pub on the Chicago River.

Chairman’s Golf Outing An afternoon on the links translates into support for TLP programs! TLP’s 4th Annual Chairman’s Golf Outing was held on Friday, September 9th, 2011, at the historic Flossmoor Country Club and raised a record-breaking $45,000!

Thanks for Giving is an annual tradition when we invite TLP graduates, youth's families, staff, donors, volunteers, and friends of the organization to join us for a delicious meal prepared by TLP youth and staff. This year’s event is Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Belfort House.

Ongoing Events

There is no better way to understand the work of TLP than to experience it firsthand. Our monthly community meetings, held at Belfort House the third Thursday of each month, are open to all. Or, celebrate the achievements of TLP youth by attending a graduation ceremony (graduations take place throughout the year). Contact Michelle Goldberg for details of our next community meeting and to find out when the next graduation is scheduled.
